On a private 1,500-acre peninsula north of Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita gives a group two Jack Nicklaus courses (including the famous Tail of the Whale island green), 35,500 sq ft of indoor-outdoor event space, the Toki Ballroom seating 300 banquet-style, and Pacific waters that hold marlin, sailfish and seasonal whales. The closing dinner is on an ocean-facing lawn; the signature day is a billfish heat or a regatta in Banderas Bay.
