The Criterium & Team Time Trial
A closed-circuit race day on a safe, traffic-free loop. Teams first ride a paceline team time trial where the clock rewards working together, then contest a criterium of short, punchy laps with prime sprints and a podium finish. Coaching and loaner bikes keep it open to newcomers.
Why It Bonds
The team time trial is the purest teamwork event in sport — a squad only goes as fast as it rotates and shelters each other. The crit then adds spectacle and stakes, and the shared podium (or shared blowup) is the story people retell for months.
Running at Scale
Teams of 4–6 seeded into heats on a closed loop; TTT runs against the clock in waves while others warm up or spectate, and the criterium is split into ability grades with rolling finals to keep the podium meaningful.
