The Botanical Distilling Lab

A distiller demystifies the still, then teams select botanicals — juniper, citrus, spice, herbs — and distill a small batch of their own gin (or rum) on a mini copper still, tasting the new-make spirit and bottling a labeled result to take home.

Why It Bonds

Choosing a botanical recipe together is a fast round of playful negotiation, and watching your own spirit run off the still is a shared payoff moment; each team leaves with a bottle only they could have made.

Running at Scale

Mini copper stills serve pods of 5–6; scale by adding stills and a botanicals library, staggering the distillation runs while other teams do the guided botanical tasting.
